¿Cómo se producen BIOCUPS?
BIOCUPS se fabrican con 70% de bagazo, que es un subproducto de la caña de azúcar y 30% de pulpa de madera. Para hacer que las tazas sean herméticas, están forradas con PLA (ácido poliláctico) que está hecho de materiales vegetales como almidón de maíz o caña de azúcar. El PLA se conoce como bioplástico porque estos materiales están hechos de recursos renovables, y se convierten en fertilizante rico cuando se desean adecuadamente.
Nuestras tapas están hechas con ácido poliláctico 100% cristalizado (CPLA), un termoplástico biodegradable derivado de almidón de maíz hecho especialmente para usos a alta temperatura y las varillas de agitación están hechas de madera de abedul 100%. Las tazas BIOCUPS están aprobadas por la FDA (Food and Drug Administration) y han sido certificadas por el Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) y DIN CERTCO.
